A Visit to Aalborg

In March, Irene, Christian and I drove up to Aalborg to celebrate our Danish camp friend Nick's 20th birthday. He is the guy who is part of the Watermark church band that is traveling through Denmark! We surprised him good!

Christian and Irene outside the building where Nick was staying in Aalborg.

Irene waving the Danish flags as we sing the Danish birthday song! HURRA HURRA HURRA!

Nick and his chocolate egg he got from his band friends for his birthday.

Nick blows out the candles in the "kagemand"... a traditional Danish birthday cake...especially for kids! :)

After visiting with Nick, I spent some time visiting with old Aalborg friends. Igi was in town from England to defend her thesis and Gosia is back in Aalborg living there with Hector while he gets his PhD!

Igi and Annelise in Klostertorvet where they are tearing down the ice skating rink behind us.

At Hector and Gosias for dinner! Yummy soup!

A visit to Aalborg is not complete without a visit to the Irish House. Igi and I with an Irish Coffee!

Gosia and a beer at the Irish House!
