Living in Oksbøl

The road signs marking all cities you enter in Denmark. Here, we find us in Oksbøl!

Aal kirke in Oksbøl. This is quite a famous church, because of the very, very old chalk drawings on the walls inside.

Inside Aal kirke.

Some of the religious carvings inside the church.

Walking in the beautiful nature around Oksbøl. This is Præstesøen (Preast Lake).

A German immigrant cemetary in Oksbøl. The area was once home to many German refugees.

The beach in Hvide Strand and the North Sea. We have found many nice pieces of amber along this beach.

When Carsten finds amber, he keeps it in his mouth until he can spit it out into a pile on the table in the van.

This is my pile of amber I found that day! The pieces look bigger than they actually are!

After admiring the amber we found, we enjoyed some hot coffee and homemade coffee bread!

A fishing boat of the coast from Børsmose strand.

Irene and I biked 10 kilometers out to Børsmose strand and 10 kilometers back to Oksbøl in head wind! I found 2 pieces of amber on this beach!
