I'm a slacker...

Sorry I haven't updated my blog in a while. The bottom line is that I am a slacker. I still haven't finished my thesis and I don't have a job. Well, I guess I have a little job...I am helping two Danish girls with their English homework a couple times a week. That provides a bit of extra cash each week that I am glad to have! And I think I will call about the house cleaning help for a family in a village near by...

Otherwise, life in Denmark is moving right along. It is amazing to think that I have almost been back for nearly 3 months! ...and it is almost Christmas! I was able to celebrate Thanksgiving with a party of 3 (Jan, Michael and I) with a roast turkey breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, glazed carrots, homemade rolls, cranberry sauce and of course, pumpkin pie for dessert. I actually created that feeling for myself that I was really celebrating the holiday and, although I was far away from family, I was able to capture the spirit!
I have been keeping an eye on the weather back in Seattle and they have been pounded with snow and freezing weather! My mom hasn't been to school since before Thanksgiving! Here in Denmark, we are having spring like weather! I took a wonderful walk this past Sunday through the local forest. I nearly got homesick with the smell of the pine trees and the fresh forest air. I could have imagined I was back again on a cool day at Troublesome Creek campground! I plan to go on as many walks as possible while the weather is so nice. It's great for the soul...and my big butt!
Well, let us hope that when I write the next time that I will have accomplished a great deal on my thesis and that some promising job prospects are in my near future.
