Some guest speakers at the celebration included Brian Mikkelsen, the cultural minister from the Danish Parliament, who we found out was familiar with the Husky Band as he had been to a Husky Football game when he was an exchange student in Washington. Another speaker, Sally Light from the American embassy, also mentioned how she had grown up with the Husky Band as a native of Seattle!
